Zelda: Echoes - Seismic Talus Boss Guide

The Seismic Talus, a challenging boss in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, appears after players defeat Dark Link and navigate Stilted Suthorn Forest. This rock-based boss has multiple phases and powerful attacks, demanding strategic gameplay.
As the game's first major boss, the Seismic Talus requires players to utilize their knowledge of echo summoning and environmental navigation. Players must maneuver around the Talus, use echoes strategically, and utilize Swordfighter form to defeat this foe.

Overview of the Seismic Talus Fight

The Seismic Talus is a massive boss that dominates the combat arena, making it crucial to stay at the edges and avoid its spinning attack. It also launches a punch that can be easily avoided. The Talus will repeatedly slam its hands down during each phase.
Similar to the Dark Link encounter, spinning around the Talus using the 'R' button is a recommended tactic to evade damage. Summoned echoes can distract the Talus, but it can destroy them quickly.

Defeating the Seismic Talus

The battle requires immediate action. Players should strafe around the arena, avoiding the Talus' punching attacks. To minimize damage, summon a Darknut on the opposite side of the arena to attack the Talus' glowing purple weak point at the end of its attack sequence.
After a few hits, the Talus retreats into its purple orb, leaving it vulnerable for a brief period. During this time, transform into Zelda's Swordfighter form and attack. If enough damage is inflicted, the Talus will transition to its next phase.

The second phase closely resembles the first, requiring players to continue evading attacks and ensure their summoned echoes are inflicting damage. By repeating this strategy, players can effectively damage the Talus and approach victory.
The final stage of the fight with Talus is indicated by his orb being firmly embedded in his head and his body glowing red. During this phase, his spin attack is particularly dangerous, so stay close to the walls and wait for him to strike the ground with his hands.
It's now simpler to activate Swordfighter form immediately. If you have enough energy, you can release the purple orb and deliver a finishing blow to defeat Talus.
