Satisfactory: Nobelisk Detonator Guide

Exploring the alien planet MASSAGE-2(A-B)b in Satisfactory requires new weapons to combat wildlife and expand factories. Explosions often aid progress.
The Nobelisk Detonator provides these explosions, clearing paths and revealing hidden areas. This guide details its research, acquisition, and use.

Unlocking the Nobelisk Detonator

The Nobelisk Detonator is unlocked via the Sulfur research tree in the MAM, accessible upon finding Sulfur. Two preliminary research tasks must be completed before unlocking the Detonator.
Researching the Nobelisk Detonator, which also unlocks Nobelisks, requires 50 Black Powder, 100 Steel Pipes, and 200 Cables. Craft it at the Equipment Workshop.
  • 1x Object Scanner
  • 10x Steel Beam
  • 50x Cable

Unlocking All Nobelisk Types

Multiple Nobelisks, each with unique explosion types, require separate unlocks within different MAM research trees.

Using the Nobelisk Detonator

With the Nobelisk Detonator, left-click throws a Nobelisk; longer holds increase throw distance. Nobelisks stick to surfaces and detonate with a right-click. Multiple Nobelisks can be thrown, but not retrieved after.
Nobelisks destroy enemies and explosive rocks. These rocks, unlike normal mountains and cliffs, have visible black cracks, showing they're destructible. Destroying them with a Nobelisk often uncovers secrets, such as Power Slugs or Mercer Spheres.
