Pokemon Go: Legendary Heroes Event Guide

The Legendary Heroes Event has arrived in Pokemon Go, a brand-new event featuring bonuses and features for players. This limited-time event affects Pokemon encounters, Raid Pokemon, Field Research Tasks, and more.
The Legendary Heroes Event will last for six days, starting on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 10am local time and ending on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 8pm local time. This guide will provide all the details about the event.

Rewards for Participating

The Legendary Heroes Event will have two active bonuses throughout its duration.
First, Special Trades during the event will cost 50 percent less Stardust, which is a great opportunity to save this valuable resource.
Second, you can evolve Koffing into Galarian Weezing during this event. This is typically not possible outside of special events, so take advantage of this opportunity.

Special Research Opportunities

Limited-Time Research

When the Legendary Heroes Event starts, Timed Research will be available to all players who log in during the event window. At the beginning of this Timed Research, you'll have to choose between the Sword Path or the Shield Path.
The path you choose will determine the rewards you receive from this Timed Research, including in-game items, XP, Stardust, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon. Your choice will also affect the Collection Challenge you receive and the Pokemon you encounter when using Incense.

Challenges in the Field

During the Legendary Heroes Event, you can collect and complete Event Field Research Tasks by spinning PokeStop Photo Discs. Finishing these tasks will reward you with one of the following:
Rare Candy, Stardust, Galarian Slowpoke encounters

Completing Sets of Pokemon

The event also features Collection Challenges, requiring players to catch or evolve specific Pokemon within the event timeframe. Your choice of Timed Research path (Sword or Shield) will determine the Pokemon you need to catch or evolve, as well as the encounter rewards.

Pokemon Showcases are a common feature in Pokemon Go events, and the Legendary Heroes Event will include them. During the six days of this event, you can participate in event-themed Pokemon Showcases at different PokeStops.
Keep any event Pokemon you catch, as you'll need them for the Pokemon Showcases. Also, keep any especially large Pokemon you catch, as they'll earn the most points in Pokemon Showcases.
