Once Human: Gaia Base Walkthrough - Guide & Secrets

Monoliths in Once Human are high-level dungeons located throughout the map, each containing challenging bosses. As players explore the game's map, they venture into new regions, discovering fresh locations and settlements. Each new map region features a monolith that can be fully explored.

To fully explore a monolith settlement, you must complete a checklist of points of interest (POI) and tasks to receive the full rewards. This guide provides a detailed explanation on finding all the POI in the Gaia Cliff Military Base monolith.

Points of Interest at Gaia Cliff Military Base

The Gaia Cliff Military Base encompasses the area surrounding the Gaia Cliff Monolith in the Broken Delta map region. Broken Delta is the second map region explored during the transition from early-game to mid-game.

Following the game's natural progression, you'll eventually reach the Gaia Military Base during the later stages of exploring Broken Delta. Here are all the POI you need to find in this area.

1 x Mystical Crate.
1 x Gear Crate.
1 x Elite enemies.
15 x Normal Enemies.
1 x Rift anchor.
Additional: 2x Weapon Crates.
1 x Additional Gear Crate.

While the game only lists five POI to completely explore the area, there are three additional hidden crates, which can be tricky to locate. When ready to explore this area, head to coordinates (4555, -6030) to reach the entry checkpoint for the Gaia Military Base.

Enemy Locations at Gaia Military Base (Normal and Elite)

As you approach the monolith from the entrance checkpoint, you will encounter several level 15 Rosetta militants. Eliminating them on your way will automatically complete your objective to defeat 15 normal enemies in a matter of minutes, as they are abundant throughout the area.

The elite enemy is stationed at the entrance of the building near the coordinates (4581, -5980). After dealing with the normal soldiers and snipers, go to the building marked by these coordinates to face the level 15 Rosetta heavy soldier.

Mystical Crate Location at Gaia Military Base

Once you have defeated the elite soldier guarding the gray-colored building at the Gaia Military base located near (4581, -5980), you can safely claim the Mystical crate on its roof. However, there is no direct way to reach the roof of the building from ground level.

You need to find an elevated point with the building in view so you can safely glide to the roof. A suitable point for this is the nearby teleportation tower located at (4527, -6013).

Activate the tower, move towards the cliff, and then glide down to the Mystical crate located on the roof of the building.

Gear Crate Location at Gaia Military Base

After acquiring the Mystical Crate from the roof, look across the road towards the sniper's nest at the coordinates (4541, -5926). The gear crate for the Gaia military base is located at the elevated platform on this location. Cross the road from the rooftop and then climb two flights of stairs. You will find the gear crate on your left.

Rift Anchor Location at Gaia Military Base

Now that you have checked the first four items on the list, the last remaining task is to activate the Rift Anchor. The Rift anchor is hidden under the Gaia Cliff Monolith in a hidden facility.

To get to the Rift Anchor, head to the entrance tunnel of the hidden facility located at (4497, -5784). Once inside the facility, turn right and keep going straight until you see large tree roots covered in yellow tarp on your left.

Follow the path downward to the center of the compound, where you'll find the Rift Anchor at the base of the giant roots (4548, -5952).

Extra Weapon and Gear Crate Location at Gaia Military Base

While the exploration is technically complete, two hidden crates can be looted within the military base. These crates are above ground, so you'll need to leave the facility to reach them.

Hidden Weapon Crate Location

After collecting the additional weapon crates in the facility, head outside and climb to the edge of the facility near the coordinates (4577, - 5823). Even though these coordinates are similar to the Rift Anchor's, the crate is actually on top of the facility, above the cliff's edge.

At these coordinates, you'll spot a purple rock formation near the cliff's edge, in the direction of the monolith. Use an explosive grenade to destroy this formation. A Weapons Crate will then appear in front of you for looting.

Hidden Gear Crate Location

After acquiring the loot from the Weapons Crate, go towards the monolith and cross its boundary wall. Turn left and head towards the entrance of the boss room inside the monolith.

Once inside the structure, turn right and enter the first room on your right. The hidden gear crate will be at the back of this room.
