Dead Rising Deluxe: Every Mixed Juice Ranked

Highlight

  • Spitfire lets you spit at zombies with a slight damage boost.
  • Zombait attracts zombies, which can be useful for distraction, but can make Psychopath fights more difficult.
  • Randomizer grants random abilities; these can be beneficial but may also have unintended consequences.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster lets you combine different food types to create unique "Mixed Drinks" with special abilities. There are seven total, most helping with obstacles like Psychopaths or survivor escorts.
However, these drinks vary in usefulness. Here's a ranking of each one by how beneficial it can be.

7 Spitfire

Perfect For Tough Tasks

Spitfire provides minimal advantages. While it doesn't normally damage zombies, Spitfire lets you spit at them and inflict damage. In the original game, you had to stand still while aiming, but the remaster allows movement, making spitting more practical. This opens up some Spitfire-focused challenges.

6 Zombait

Draws Zombies Towards You

Zombait was useful in the original Dead Rising to distract zombies from survivors, but all zombies would then come towards you. The remaster's more coordinated survivors make Zombait less impactful. It's not the worst choice, but not always ideal. Saving every survivor may require careful use, and Zombait can make Psychopath fights tougher by attracting zombies.

5 Randomizer

A Mystery With Every Sip

Randomizer is fun for its unpredictable nature, but not the most practical. It gives you a random ability from another mixed drink. Four drinks have positive effects, one neutral, and one situational, making it a gamble.
Unless you accidentally activate Zombait’s effect during a crucial boss fight, this mixed drink only has a small chance of harming you. Additionally, Randomizer can be combined with other foods to create drinks that you might not have the necessary ingredients for unless you travel to a different area.

4 Nectar

Call Upon The Bees

Nectar is one of the simplest mixed juices to prepare. Fruits are readily available at the mall, and you can find an unlimited supply of Orange Juice on the second floor of Paradise Plaza. Nectar can be a lifesaver by providing a substantial amount of healing and summoning a free Zombie Queen.
You can then catch this Queen in the air and throw her onto the ground to clear all the zombies surrounding you. This will give you a temporary respite while ensuring that your survivors don't get overwhelmed. This makes it one of the most useful mixed juices to create and a handy tool to have on you at all times.

3 Untouchable

Zombies Can’t Touch You

Untouchable often feels like a variation of Energizer, but it's specifically designed for those seeking to move quickly without being hindered. Untouchable prevents zombie swarms from grabbing onto you and biting you. They can still injure you, but you'll find that slipping through a crowd of zombies is much easier.
While this effect might seem insignificant compared to more powerful drinks like Fleetfoot, don't underestimate it. Once the cult members start appearing, one of the most frustrating things that can happen is a zombie grabbing you, which allows a cult member to throw sleeping powder at you. Before you know it, you're waking up in the secret room without your items, surrounded by knife-wielding cultists.

2 Energizer

True Invincibility

Energizer might just be one of the best mixed drinks in the game. It significantly boosts your defenses when dealing with hordes, but it is primarily a boss battle drink. While Energizer's effects are active, you won't take any damage. It not only heals you but also ensures that you can land a few hits before the Psychopaths retaliate.
Energizer is easy to make if you know where to find the ingredients, and once you memorize their locations, you can stock up. However, despite this mixed drink being an invincibility potion, it narrowly misses the top spot.

1 Fleetfoot

The Best Drink In The Game

Fleetfoot is the top choice for drinks in the game. It's tough to gather 50 survivors with a time limit pressing you. Fleetfoot greatly boosts your speed, so you can cross the entire mall without missing a step.
This drink is also valuable when you need to leave survivors alone in other parts of the mall. This lets you go anywhere and return before your survivor's health drops. Moving faster makes dodging zombies a breeze.
